Toph was born blind. She was also the daughter of the richest people in the entire Earth Kingdom. She had everything handed to her and an army of servants to cater to her every need.

But, the young Beifong wanted something greater. She ran away from home, not even caring about her own safety. After stumbling her way into a cave, she came across the ones who would change her life.

Once she had befriended the Badger Moles, aka the original Earth Benders, the creatures teach Toph Earth Bending. With time, her natural ability and pure grit make her the strongest in the land.

But her journey had only began. When Aang, Sokka and Katara come to town, having defeated the Fire Nation at the North Pole and Aang having completed Water Bending (sort of), Toph comes face to face with her future lifelong best friends.

Once more Toph seizes the moment and joins Team Avatar. The journey takes them all the way to the battle to determine the fate of the world, where Aang, thanks in part to Toph’s training, is able to defeat Ozai and save the world.

Throughout all this, Toph did not lose a single duel, was a source of unlimited sass, and arguably served as the greatest ever representation of the disabled community on television.
