10 Most Creative Fan Tributes To Doctor Who

10. Introducing Doctor Bean

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do-wDPoC6GM Because what else was going to start off this list? Here is the masterpiece that is The Curse of Fatal Death which was a two part Comic Relief special in 1999. The Doctor faces his long time foe, the Master, before eventually settling down and marrying his current companion Emma. Rowan Atkinson plays (what is believed to be) the Ninth Doctor and everyone is left to witness the regenerations he has left, with the addition of Richard E. Grant, Jim Boradbent, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley (finally... a woman!). So, what makes this funny little spoof such a fine tribute? Well, first of all, when people see someone making a spoof of something, it's not out of hatred for the show, it's made out of respect for it. Secondly, it was written by a fan, and that fan just so happens to be Steven Moffat. Not only did he have control over the episodes, he also managed to make the show his own with his own unique style that fans are now used to. This was only just the beginning of Steven's personal Doctor Who adventure and, with many successful stories later, he finally achieved his goal of taking helm of the show itself.
