10 Most Cringeworthy Doctor Who Moments From The 60s

6. Ian Chesterton's Dance Party - The Chase (1965)

Sorry, but we're not quite done with The Chase yet, and as bad as the Daleks and Morton Dill are in that story, there's a far more cringey moment near the very beginning. It comes when the Doctor is using his time-space visualiser to tune into a performance of the Beatles for Vicki, who doesn't realize they played "classical music." Bless her. Problem is, Ian gets a little too into their performance of "Ticket to Ride" and starts to dance...well, sort of. Sadly, there's no clip of this anywhere on YouTube, which is a sure sign that fans would rather forget it. Oh, and his impersonation of a Dalek at the end of the story isn't as fun as he thinks, either, but we could forgive that if he simply never...dances...ever...again. Goodness, we could've compiled a whole list of moments from this story alone, couldn't we? Good thing there's plenty more in the '60s where this moment came from...
