10 Most Disappointing Series Finales Of All Time

8. The Sopranos

Sex And The City
HBO

This series finale is a greatly debated one. Some loved it, and some hated it. After watching six seasons of violence, sex, crime, and death, fans were expecting a big, satisfying close to what was an amazing series. Instead we got a black screen.

The finale showed Tony Soprano, brilliantly played by James Gandolfini (Rest in peace big guy), enjoying a meal in a diner with his family, and hinted that he was about to be whacked. Then we got that damn black screen and fans probably jumped up checking to see if their TV set was malfunctioning.

We wanted answers, closure, and a big-bang ending. We got Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey and our reflection in the black screen. You should have done better HBO.

I like to think of myself as a world traveler and social butterfly, although I do spend a lot of my time watching the latest Japanese anime series, sitcoms, movies, and drama series. I live on the island of Crete, where I was born, and enjoy walking on the beach with my little cocker spaniel, Molly, when I'm not writing for WhatCulture.com and UNILAD.co.uk.
