10 Most Disappointing Series Finales Of All Time

7. Two And A Half Men

Sex And The City
CBS

From the moment Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen the show was over for many fans, including myself. But the show dragged on, after throwing in the stupid story line about how Charlie (Sheen) suddenly died and a billionaire (Kutcher) just as suddenly bought Charlie’s house and took pity on Alan and let him stay.

Then Jake, the half in Two And A Half Men, left as regular cast member in the 10th season, leaving only Two Men for the last two seasons. Horrible, but moving on.

The finale tops all of the above. Charlie, presumably still alive, comes to the front door (it’s just his back so it isn’t really Charlie Sheen) and before he can enter the house a piano falls on him. The scene then backs up to Chuck Lorre, the director, and he says “Winning,” Sheen’s famous catchphrase which he said after being removed from the show. Then a piano falls on Chuck Lorre. Ha…ha.

I feel sorry for the hard-core fans of the show that actually kept watching, only to be given such a stupid ending. Instead of giving fans a satisfying, happy ending to this hugely successful and long-running sitcom, the finale acted more as a way for the director, Chuck Lorre, to tell Charlie Sheen to f*ck off one last time. Keep your little feuds off the screen, Hollywood.

I like to think of myself as a world traveler and social butterfly, although I do spend a lot of my time watching the latest Japanese anime series, sitcoms, movies, and drama series. I live on the island of Crete, where I was born, and enjoy walking on the beach with my little cocker spaniel, Molly, when I'm not writing for WhatCulture.com and UNILAD.co.uk.
