A thankfully deeply unlikeable character, Sedullus foolishly engages our hero in combat, which was only ever going to end one way, to be honest. It's not like the show was going to suddenly be rebranded as Sedullus, was it?
This final mistake in a catalogue of bad choices ends with Sedullus having his face removed with a clean strike of Spartacus' sword in a moment that's more Mortal Kombat than TV show.
It's a gruesome moment crowned by the brief glimpse of his brain sliding out from the gaping hole left by the strike. How pleasant.
