7. Sansa And Theon
The reunion of Sansa and Theon doesn't seem like much at first. They were well-acquainted growing up at Winterfell, but not particularly friendly with one another, so it wasn't like a pair of besties reunited.
In fact, this is one of the few reunions on the list that is emotional in a genuinely horrific way. Because there isn't a touching hug with swelling music here. Instead, Theon has been tortured into becoming the quaking, fearful Reek, and Sansa has been manipulated into marrying the abusive (that doesn't feel like a strong enough word) Ramsay Bolton.
And when they finally do get a chance to interact with each other, it's not a cathartic moment: it's a brutal rape scene, the kind that Game of Thrones frequently indulges in.
