10 Most Emotional Game Of Thrones Reunions

5. Bran And Benjen

Game Of Thrones Arya Sansa
HBO

Benjen, the younger brother of Ned Stark and a ranger of the Night's Watch, was a character who appeared quite briefly at the very beginning of the series and quickly went missing and presumed dead north of the Wall. He seemed to have a good relationship with his brother, was beloved by his nieces and nephews, and was an all around pretty cool guy, so despite his unknown whereabouts, he was always one of those characters we hoped might just show up again later on.

Our optimism (an unfamiliar feeling while watching Game of Thrones) was rewarded when in the sixth season, Benjen (or at least a creepy, undead version of him) rescues Bran while north of the Wall. It's a great scene because it's wonderful to see Starks encounter one another in the wild, especially Bran, who at this point in the series is so unbelievably isolated.

But there's also the added component of the fact that neither character is what they used to be, both somehow less human than before. Crazy stuff, you guys. But so good.
