4. Daenerys And Dragonstone

OK, so Dragonstone isn't actually a person. But to Daenerys, Dragonstone may as well be its own character in the show, one that represents home, family, heritage, and birthright. So when she finally walks onto the craggy island of her birth, the ancestral home to the Targaryens, it's definitely an emotional moment.

This is where, years earlier, Daenerys was born during the chaos of the rebellion, before being forced to live in exile with her mother and older brother Viserys.

She's dreamed her whole life of coming back here, as her first step towards reclaiming Westeros and taking her rightful (well, depending on who you ask) place on the Iron Throne. And when the show actually reaches that point in the storyline, they luxuriate in it.

There's an innate sense of drama as she lands on the shores of Dragonstone, walks through the throne room, wordlessly brushes her hand across Stannis' map of Westeros. This is the reunion of an ancestral castle and its queen, and it is breathtaking.
