10 Most Emotional Game Of Thrones Reunions
2. Jaime And Brienne
We spent the lion's share of Season 3 eagerly watching Jaime and Brienne's relationship evolve from open contempt to the kind of respect and camaraderie that would make Cersei more than a little bit jealous.
In the beginning, Jaime is Brienne's prisoner, but things really start to get interesting when they're both captured. Jaime, a man who defines himself by his abilities as a soldier, is permanently incapacitated through the loss of his dominant hand.
They're both undoubtedly put in a vulnerable situation, which gives them the opportunities to shed pretenses and show each other who they really are. Jaime in particular has a crisis of faith and comes out of the experience a changed man.
They developed a deep connection with one another, and it was with heavy hearts that they eventually split up on their return to King's Landing. So everyone was more than a little excited when they met again, this time on the battlefield during the Siege of Riverrun where they are, once again, on opposing sides.
But despite being at war, they make no effort to hide the fact that they're pleased to see one another, and when they sadly waved goodbye to one another at the end, we couldn't help but hope that it wouldn't be for the last time.
