10 Most Forgettable Episodes Of Doctor Who

9. Father's Day

First broadcast: Saturday 14th May 2005 Yes, it's an emotional rollercoaster and yes, Billie Piper wins all of the awards for acting her little socks off, but Father's Day is an episode that literally gets more confusing as time goes on. What were the Reapers actually about, by the way? So they've come to sterilise a wound in time, as created when Rose spontaneously saved her dad from his untimely demise, but isn't that the sort of thing that the Doctor & Co are always doing? "Time can be rewritten", after all, but apparently only when the overriding plot depends on it. It was all slightly more problematic on this occasion, of course, seeing as their were two versions of Rose in once place, and she even touched herself as a baby (so to speak!) at one point, but what about when Kazran Sardick hugged his younger self in A Christmas Carol and the only thing that exploded was Katherine Jenkins' vocal chords? See, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, does it? An episode that should be forgotten because it hurts your head if you think about it too much. It all turned out for the best in the end, at least.
