When Warren is introduced in ‘I Was Made to Love You’, he comes across as an intelligent yet narcissistic individual with a lack of maturity. No one could have predicted at this stage he’d go on to cause so much trouble.

In ‘Dead Things’, Warren uses a Cerebral Dampener to manipulate the mind of Katrina (his ex-girlfriend) and attempts to rape her in the Trio’s hideout. Before he manages to do this, the effects of the Cerebral Dampener wear off. Katrina then tries to escape but Warren kills her by hitting her over the head with a bottle. Rather than accepting his fate, however, he then frames Buffy for the murder.

Yet his most despicable act comes in ‘Seeing Red’. Angered by his recent defeat at the hands of the Slayer, he storms into the Summers’ house and starts shooting at Buffy. One of the bullets hits Tara in the chest, and within seconds, she’s dead.

Every Buffy fan had nothing but contempt for Warren after watching this scene. Tara was the last character who deserved to die given how young and sweet-natured she was. And no one felt anything but smug satisfaction when Willow took her revenge by killing him in the following episode.
