3. Bad Wolf Bay
Rose Tyler, the first companion of the Ninth Doctor, and the woman who brought the humanity back to this Time Lord. Her history with the Doctor is extensive, with parallel timelines complicating matters more than the usual time travel complications.
After visiting a parallel universe, the Tenth Doctor meets Pete, Rose's dad, alive and well. They realise the planets could be falling into the Void, and must defeat an alliance between the Daleks and the Cybermen in order to save themselves. The Doctor reunites Jackie, Pete, and Rose, and sends them to the parallel universe. However, Rose jumps back to help the Doctor.
In a heartbreaking goodbye, Rose hears something calling her to a bay. She goes there, and the Doctor appears through the breach. Rose finally tells him she loves him. Before he can respond, the breach closes, and their goodbye is cut painfully short. A moment of pure emotion between two characters follows, that is often cited by fans as one of their all time favourites.
