10 Most Hotly Anticipated Horror TV Shows Debuting Or Returning In 2022
1. The Sandman
The Sandman is coming.
This hotly anticipated TV series is based on the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman, and the track record of his work being turned into visual media has been very successful over the last 15 years.
Filming took place between October 2020 and August 2021, with the show now in post-production. It's only a matter of time before it hits our screens. Fans of the source material have been waiting a long time for this popular IP to be adapted, as an adaptation of one form or other has been stuck in development hell since 1991. Soon, we'll finally get to see Dream on our screens.
The show is being produced by Netflix and will centre around the aforementioned Dream, also known as Morpheus, who is the King of Dream and the Ruler of the Dreaming. With an all-star cast including Tom Sturridge, Gwendoline Christie, Charles Dance, Jenna Coleman, David Thewlis and Stephen Fry, The Sandman is sure to be a must-watch.
Need your Neil Gaiman fix earlier that that, though? Why not delve into his many worlds with Stardust [2007], Coraline [2009], Lucifer [2016], American Gods [2017], and Good Omens [2019].
