10 Most Iconic Weapons In Game Of Thrones

1. Ice

Every series needs a traditionally iconic weapon. You don't need chemical fires, gigantic bows, or fancy spears in everyday life, but you'd feel safe if you had Ned Stark's greatsword Ice hanging on your back. The enormous blade is first seen in the Pilot and foreshadows the owner's own grisly doom in the same season. It's an incredibly wide blade, heavy, two-handed, and utterly devastating in the hands of whoever wields it. Ned was in control of it for a long spell, but it proved to be the sword used by Ilyn Payne to remove his head. The sword fell into Lannister hands, and because of its sheer size, they managed to melt down the steel and forge two separate swords: One was owned by Joffrey Baratheon, while the other is in Brienne's possession via Jaime Lannister.
