The Battle of Blackwater Bay kicks off in one of the greatest Thrones episodes of all time. Season 2 edged towards an enormous clash, and it certainly provided the anticipated chaos, mostly due to Tyrion's wildfire stroke of genius. The green liquid is trailed out to Stannis' ships and Bronn lights the fuse for the most spectacular, glowing explosion that wipes out a huge chunk of the fleet. There was no way to defend against it, and there was very little chance of salvaging a victory following the devastation. It was the weapon that helped keep King's Landing standing, the Lannisters in power, and proved we should always just listen to what Tyrion says.
