Spare a thought for poor Dr Ryder. The secret 'Friends of the Ood' activist had spent years patiently infiltrating the slave factories on the Ood-Sphere, working his way up to being in a position of authority and being close to spearheading a revolution to free the Ood from their shackles. Every day, he had to subsume his true feelings and his natural revulsion, knowing that one day he'd be responsible for their liberation, slowing interfering with the pylons that controlled a forcefield around the Ood's giant collective consciousness. However, that annoying Doctor turned up with some noisy woman in a parka. Before your eyes your carefully prepared machinations fell to pieces, this Doctor being the equivalent of the proverbial bull in a china shop.
