10 Most Inventive Ways That Doctor Who Has Killed Off Its Own Characters

10. Death By Giant Brain (Planet Of The Ood)

Spare a thought for poor Dr Ryder. The secret 'Friends of the Ood' activist had spent years patiently infiltrating the slave factories on the Ood-Sphere, working his way up to being in a position of authority and being close to spearheading a revolution to free the Ood from their shackles. Every day, he had to subsume his true feelings and his natural revulsion, knowing that one day he'd be responsible for their liberation, slowing interfering with the pylons that controlled a forcefield around the Ood's giant collective consciousness. However, that annoying Doctor turned up with some noisy woman in a parka. Before your eyes your carefully prepared machinations fell to pieces, this Doctor being the equivalent of the proverbial bull in a china shop. Instead of a hero you end up tipped over a gantry into a giant Odd hind-brain. Life sucks. On the plus side, death by falling into a giant brain is certainly a highly inventive way to go so well done you!
