10 Most Irredeemably Evil Villains In TV History

4. Lorne Malvo - Fargo

Ramsay Bolton Game Of Thrones
FX

The main antagonist of the excellent first season of Fargo, Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) may just be the Devil himself.

He's a calculating, ruthless contract killer who will not hesitate to murder anyone who gets in his way... but that's not even what makes this guy so bad. Over the course of the series, Malvo manipulates and coerces others to commit evil acts even when it doesn't necessarily benefit him in any way. He also enjoys bringing misery and trouble into people's lives purely for his own amusement.

The best (and most blackly funny) example of this is when he's attempting to track down his old "friend" Lester (Martin Freeman), and upon encountering the new family living in his old house, Malvo tells them a lot of people died there and it's most likely haunted.

Malvo's intense wickedness and a couple of unexplained moments (disappearing from Lester's cellar etc) have led some fans to speculate that there's actually something supernatural about the character, but his death at the end of the final episode would seem to debunk that. Mind you, it did take quite a few bullets to finish him off...
