10 Most Ludicrous Moments From Sense8

7. Everyone Speaking English

In many ways, Sense8 feels like an extended apology on behalf of The Wachowskis for Cloud Atlas. Their last collaboration with Tom Tykwer involved characters being reincarnated in different generations around the world, which apparently necessitated putting Jim Strugess and Halle Berry in extensive, racist make so they appeared €œAsian€.

Sense8 has a similarly globe-trotting premise, but this time they actually bothered to cast people of the right ethnicity for their roles. With the notable exception of Nairobi van driver Capheus, played by Brit Aml Ameen, and Icelandic DJ Riley, who's played by Tuppence Middleton €“ Benedict Cumberbatch's female rival for the Most English Name Ever.

Everyone else, though? They are legit Germans, South Koreans, Spaniards and Indians. The Sensates often marvel over being able to speak each other's native language when they swap minds, but everybody speaks English most of the time anyway. Even when chatting with other native Hindi/German/Spanish/Korean speakers. That...that doesn't make any sense at all.
