10 Most Ludicrous Things To Ever Happen On 24

8. Dana And All Her Baggage - Season 8

24 TV Show
Fox

It wouldn't be a day in the life of Jack Bauer if there wasn't at least one CTU agent working undercover for the baddies. And over the years of 24, CTU has seen its fair share of traitors, but none of them were as brutally insane as Day Eight's Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff).

Dana starts her day in New York as a CTU analyst engaged to be wed to Field Ops dreamboat Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr). What emerges in the first half of the season is Dana has a secret past, and as teenager she was something of a tearaway and caused the death of an innocent man. And now, that delinquent past has come back to bite her on the backside...

Blowing by the fact that Dana/Jenny Scott managed to hide her past during the CTU background checks, the sequence of events in which Dana hides her past is so laughably absurd it becomes a comedy of errors.

But just when you think a hidden past is all Dana has to offer, we learn in the second half of the season that she was working with the Russians all along to assassinate President Omar Hassan.

The shady criminal past is one thing, but an even bigger ulterior motive is just insane. The writers had two completely different character traits and mashed them into one person, and if you compare the Dana from the beginning to Dana at the end, you've be forgiven for thinking you were watching two completely different shows.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
