10 Most Paused American Horror Story Moments

This next entry is a two for one. Already having an amputated limb is a terrible thing, but losing it for no reason is just twisted. Worst of all, it happens not once but twice throughout the series.

The first case happens during the second season of the series, Asylum. Here we meet the person responsible for these atrocities, Dr Arden, a sadistic man who spends his time torturing his patients in Briarcliff. Among his unlucky patients is Shelley, a woman falsely diagnosed with nymphomania. Dr Arden proceeds to not only take her life by cutting off her legs but abandons her body in a playground.

The second case we find is that of the protagonist of the fourth season, Elsa Mars. She's another one of the victims of Dr Arden's sadistic hobbies. Again, we find this through an underground movie to see firsthand how it all happens. However, unlike Shelley, Mars survives to live a life wearing prosthetic limbs.

These couple of scenes may have caused many viewers to pause the series to never watch it again. And you can't blame them, American Horror Story has a lot of dark moments, and these are some of the worst.
