10 Most Re-Watchable Star Trek Episodes

Star Trek Enterprise In A Mirror Darkly
CBS

Star Trek Enterprise's fourth season is a truly strong season of Star Trek. Enterprise has the unfortunate 'honour' of being the first cancelled live action series since the Original Series and, thoroughly unfairly, this stain has tainted many opinions of the show. However, In A Mirror, Darkly was a fantastic experiment in storytelling in Star Trek - something that could easily win over new fans.

This was the first live action Star Trek episode set entirely in the mirror universe. Archer, T'Pol and the rest live under the banner of the Terran Empire, with all of the usual fun and menace that comes along with that. However, in a brilliant twist, they discovery the USS Defiant (no, not that one), lost in The Tholian Web, and use it to begin conquering their enemies.

The episode is a LOT of fun! The classic era designs look both strange and brilliant against the more industrial backdrop of the Enterprise era ships. The Defiant is also, in a fun twist, a much more advanced vessel than anything it encounters - even with all the Matt Jefferies designs (and pop-up eye pieces) surrounding the crew.

In a way, the episodes are completely devoid of any lasting consequences (unless Hoshi and Georgiou have some connection, who is to say?), meaning that there is very little preamble needed to jump in and enjoy. An absolute hoot from start to finish, this will have you questioning whether or not you believe in Terran or Vulcan dominance!
