10 Most Rewatchable TV Shows Of All Time

9. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

One of the comedy highlights of recent years has been Dan Goor and Mike Schur’s throwback cop sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The Andy Samberg-starring show has the best features of many of recent years’ finest sitcoms - a great cast, warmth mixed with jokes, and enough narrative to keep things moving while maintaining the laugh quota.

While the show has never been a huge unit shifter on TV - indeed it was cancelled by Fox after five seasons, before NBC swooped to the rescue - it’s a hugely popular streaming show and seems to be picking up momentum and popularity year by year.

An inclusive and progressive show, its finest attribute is Andre Braugher. Previously known as a dramatic actor, not least in serious cop show Homicide, Braugher mines every laugh he can from stick in the mud Captain Raymond Holt, one of the funniest characters in recent years primarily due to Braugher’s distinctive baritone and unbreaking deadpan delivery.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine shows no signs of slowing down - NBC have commissioned an eighth season - and the quality remains impressively high. It’ll be a binge watch of choice for years to come.
