Out of all the "art-pieces" on the show, the human mural is the most cringe inducing. Ouch.

Watching that poor, desperate man struggling to pull himself free from the bodies around him physically hurts to watch. The way his skin peels and tears as he tries to escape the waking nightmare he's found himself in is near vomit inducing. It's hard to think of any other moment in the series that feels as demented as this one.

Somehow though the mural itself isn't the worst part. What's even worse is the fact that he does escape... only to die shortly after. Just imagine breaking out of hell itself only to end up having all your effort and pain go to waste because you died immediately afterward.

It's this extra bit of hopelessness that seals the deal on this being one of the series' most shocking moments.

Once again, ouch.
