5. Caspere Was Seeing A Psychiatrist. A Creepy One.

Ray and Ani visit Caspere's psychiatrist, a highly disturbing figure played magnificently by Rick Springfield (yes, the pop sensation behind 'Jessie's Girl'). He sheds a little more light on the victim's extracurricular habits, revealing that he was "sexually obsessed", but preferred a passive role - throwing Ray's suspicion of the culprit as an abused prostitute into doubt. The psychiatrist also indirectly reveals more about Ani's childhood at her father's hippie commune, a group entitled the Good People. He recognises the detective from a visit to the commune many years ago, a place Ani defiantly states she was desperate to get away from. She reveals she once had four siblings - two of whom are now in jail, and the other two dead.
