4. Gary Takes A Dive (Season 1)
Early in season 1, we learn Marty suspects Wendy's cheating and hires a private investigator who learns she's sleeping with Gary Silverburg. When they meet Marty realizes Wendy has cleaned out their checking AND savings account which prompts the PI to ask him if he owns a gun.
Shocked,Marty says no and wonders why he would ask that and the PI says because they're meeting right now. Pissed, Marty gets in the car and rushes there trying to call Wendy, but only gets her voicemail.
Jumping to Wendy's POV we see her walking into Gary's apartment stumbling upon him being held hostage by Del and his henchmen. Cutting back to a fuming Marty, we see him getting angrier with each step he takes as he goes to confront the cheating couple only to... SPLAT...get a front row view of a "Gary pizza" courtesy of the cartel.
The tension the writers build leading up to this scene led fans into thinking there would be some sort of ugly meeting when Marty finally made it there to catch them, but no one expected to see Gary yeeted out of the 80th floor of a skyscraper and our jaws dropped right along with him.
