When Harry Kim experiences a case of clairvoyance and some physical changes that the Doctor can't explain, it becomes clear something big is coming. Sure enough, once they reach the planet of Taresia, an explanation is given that completely throws both the audience and the Voyager crew for a loop. Harry Kim is not fully human at all, he is part Taresian and the experiences he was having were due to dormant genes coming alive.

If the idea that Harry is not human at all was not shocking enough for viewers, the ultimate twist comes when it is discovered that Harry's "dormant genes" were in fact a retrovirus that the Taresians use to lure unsuspecting men onto their planet so they can reproduce. It's two twists in one episode here, providing a rollercoaster for both the audience and Harry Kim.

A recently created Star Trek fan with a special affinity for the adventures of Voyager and its crew. I enjoy the occasional horror movie and love anything 80s to the point where I've been told I was an 80s child reborn. I'm a true blue Aussie and proud of it.
