10 Most Surprising Rick And Morty Celebrity Cameos

7. Jemaine Clement

Rick and Morty Elon Tusk
Adult Swim

Best known as half of the New Zealand comedy duo Flight of the Concords, Clement appeared as the imaginatively titled Fart in Mortynight Run. A telepathic ball of gas on the run from an assassin, Morty takes a shine to him and attempts to prevent his imminent murder.

As Fart, Clement displays a child-like innocence, an inability to comprehend anything related to humanity and above all a beautiful singing voice. His signature number Goodbye Moonmen is both beautifully sung, utilising Clement's own vocal dexterity, and has more than a touch of David Bowie crooning about it - a reference to the Flight of the Concords' Bowie episode.

It is testament to Clement's performance that even when it is revealed that Fart is a genocidal maniac hellbent on destroying any and all carbon based life we still feel a twinge of sadness as Morty is forced to kill his newest friend. Goodbye Moonman.
