2. Sam Neill

Star of Jurassic Park, Event Horizon and recently Peaky Blinders, Sam Neill manages to sneak in a cameo in The Old Man and the Seat as the majestically titled Monogatron Leader.

Obviously the distinctive comedy that Rick and Morty birthed appeals to the Kiwis with Neill being the third New Zealander to appear on it after Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi.

While it may amount to about a minute of screen time, Neill milks every second as the grand voice of the leader who attempts to steal the Earth's water by distracting humanity with a dating app. Obviously relishing the role of a diabolical villain - a world away from playing the leading man in the serious films for which he is known - he devours every evil villain cliche he says.

The fact that this A-List actor only appears in the episode for a brief blink and you'll miss it cameo and is the second billed celebrity in this episode, after Waititi, speaks volumes to the popularity of Rick and Morty nowadays.
