10 Most Surprising TV Cancellations Of 2020
2. Castle Rock
Castle Rock was an unbelievably unique show that sought to bring a collection of Stephen King's most influential - and terrifying - characters to life, intertwining them in the strange town of Castle Rock. The show was full of charm, and King fans were treated to many fantastic character connections in this two-season anthology horror.
Many fans have expressed their disappointment at the show's cancellation, even King himself. It is particularly understandable to be upset by the reveal, as the show was well-reviewed and did fine with its viewership ratings.
It seems that Castle Rock might have been a victim of circumstance, as the series was produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Television and presented on Hulu. Sadly, the production company shifted it's attention to HBO Max and as such will no longer be focussing on Hulu shows, and there appears to be no desire currently to bring the series to HBO Max.
Audiences can hope that it might see a revival in a similar way to The Expanse on a new streaming site, but it seems better for audiences not to get their hopes up.
