10 Most Terrifying Deaths In Modern Doctor Who

6. Scooti's Orbit

When Sanctuary Base 6 came under attack from the Beast in 2006's The Impossible Planet, trainee maintenance officer Scooti Manista was the first to suffer the Devil's wrath.

Discovering archaeologist Toby Zed standing outside the airlock with no spacesuit, Scooti attempted to communicate for help. With her signal blocked and the Base's computer system seemingly glitching, Scooti was unaware that her crewmate had been possessed by the Beast.

Trying her best to help Zed as he stood smiling in the vacuum, Scooti watched in horror as he raised his fist. The glass between her and the vacuum of space suddenly began to crack. With the security doors locking her in, Scooti was trapped as the window shattered. As the room's pressure broke, Scooti was sucked out into space.

Initially unable to locate Scooti after an earthquake rocked the Base, the Tenth Doctor followed her tracking beacon - only to find her body floating through space on the other side of a viewing window. As the rest of the crew gathered to mourn, Scooti's body drifted slowly through space and into the impossible black hole they were orbiting.
