10 Most Terrifying Deaths In Modern Doctor Who
5. Suckered To Death
An age-old question of why the Daleks have a sink plunger for a weapon was finally answered in 2005's Dalek.
Previously only used on screen as a manipulation device, the rampaging 'Metaltron' in the episode displayed that Dalek suckers have far more terrifying uses. Managing to regenerate from Rose Tyler's DNA, the Dalek confronted its torturer, Simmons, with its manipulator arm.
Without missing a beat, Simmons asked, 'What're you gonna do? Sucker me to death?' The Dalek then proceeded to latch onto its victim's face and crush his skull with immense pressure. Screaming all the way till his death, this was NuWho's first reminder not to mess with a Dalek.
Another horrifying example of the Daleks' plunging capabilities arose in 2006's Doomsday. Capturing Torchwood operative Rajesh Singh, the Cult of Skaro extracted his brainwaves by encasing his head with their suckers.
Screaming in agony, his head began to smoke as his knowledge was absorbed. When the Cult had acquired the information they needed, Singh's corpse was released - his head left charred and unrecognisable by the horrifying attack.
