Another character crushed by the Springfield machine. Believe it or not, Otto graduated from Brown University. His Admiral father had high hopes for him. Unfortunately guitar and hallucinogenics were just too tempting for Otto and he spent the rest of his life driving the Springfield school bus.

Whether he's any good at this job is debatable. He's crashed into the sea, into trees and even squeeze fruit-related accidents onto his resume. According to one early episode, he has crashed the bus fifteen times! On the flip side, he has managed this feat without a single fatality.

Hero-worshipped for his laid-back attitude and guitar skills by Bart Simpson, his love-life is in question. He was once married to a hot squeeze named Becky, but the wedding had to be broken off after her distaste for heavy metal music was revealed - a prerequisite for Otto.

Otto's back story is still a little sketchy. It's known he loves metal music and that his dad was in the navy, but there haven't been many episodes where those character traits are really fleshed out, making him hard to get a lock on.
