10 Most Underrated Sitcoms Of The Past Decade

4. Outsourced (NBC, 2010 - 2011)

Community Donald Glover
NBC

This is not a series you're going to find on a lot of best of lists. It didn't get much respect when it was on the air and it's been largely forgotten since its single season run almost a decade ago.

An American moves to Mumbai to run a call centre staffed by Indians. It's easy to see where the issues lie just based on that description. The premise is fraught with potential for racist jokes and cultural caricatures, and sometimes it came dangerously close to fulfilling that potential. But the series never got enough credit for walking the tightrope between being something negative and being an effective send up of office culture around the world.

One of the most unique things about Outsourced is that it's primarily cast with persons of colour. That doesn't happen enough now on network TV and barely happened a decade ago. It only got one season and never quite found its footing. Outsourced was charming, engaging and could have been to be quite popular if it had the chance to grow.
