10 Most Underrated Stargate Episodes

4. Brain Storm - Atlantis

Stargate Atlantis Brain Storm
MGM

This fifth season episode of Atlantis sees McKay and Keller team up with Bill Nye and Neil Degrasse-Tyson (yes, really) in order to stop a MacGuffin from creating havoc on Earth.

The episode is pure comedy, start to finish. While Atlantis could sometimes be accused of slightly rambling in its storylines, and this definitely has nothing to do with the overall arc of the show, it is a brilliant slice of knowing, self-aware fun.

Guest stars Nye and Degrasse-Tyson are fantastic in portraying slightly fictionalized versions of themselves, getting right into the fun of proceedings by joining McKay in his rush to solve the problems created by his long-time rival.

While McKay grumbles his way through a lot of the episode (with good reason) it is also a great turning point for his relationship with Keller. Lots of fun from start to finish!
