10 Most Underrated TV Actors Of All Time
4. Alyson Hannigan
Like fellow Buffy alum David Boreanaz, Alyson Hannigan is another brilliant actor who fell from one great show to another without anything close to a dry spell.
On Buffy, Hannigan played the iconic and groundbreaking Willow Rosenberg, a once timid and self-confessed "nerd" who would go on to become the world's most powerful witch. From her goofy likability to her progressive coming out arc, Willow was a consistent fan favourite and one of the best characters in the series.
When the show came to an end, Hannigan didn't have to wait long before she landed the role of Lily Aldrin on the popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother, which turned out to be a massive hit and ran for nine seasons.
By the time HIMYM came to a divisive conclusion, Hannigan had been a leading TV star for nearly twenty years, playing two characters who were nothing alike but each lovable and endearing in their own way.
Hannigan currently has a voice role on the kids show Fancy Nancy, and between her stints on two of the most popular shows of the 90s and 00s and her hilarious turn in the American Pie film series, it's fair to say she's one of the best and most underappreciated actresses on TV all at once.
