10 Netflix Original Shows Cancelled After One Season

Starring Vampire Diaries favourite Ian Somerhalder and set in a world fractured by an increasingly deadly clash between humans and vampires, V Wars seemed poised to be a big hit for the streaming service.

Add to its apocalyptic setting and star appeal its unapologetic violence and dark tone, and it seems on paper that V Wars really should have been a massive success.

Alas, this was not the case. Despite semi-decent audience numbers and its clear potential, the horror series was cancelled after one ten-episode season, marred during its short run by poor reviews aimed at its acting and wonky tone.

In-keeping with their practice of staying hush-hush about why certain shows were axed, Netflix haven't said anything about V Wars' demise, but the show's reviews really speak volumes.
