Based on Charles Forsman's comics and written by Charlie Covell for Netflix, The End Of The F***ing World and its two seasons has already won a 2019 Peabody Award.

Landing somewhere inbetween the worlds of clever comedy and dark drama, The End Of The F***ing World follows the story of James, a seventeen year old boy played by Black Mirror star Alex Lawther. James thinks that he is a psychopath and runs into Jessica Barden's Alyssa, a brash and confident rebel who proposes that the two of them run away together.

Hoping that he might get the opportunity to upgrade on his animal killings by killing Alyssa, James agrees and the two of them embark on a series of hilarious adventures. From punching James' dad in the face, to holding up an entire petrol station, the pair's adventures ramp up dramatically across the seasons and the show's 25 minute or so episode structure keeps things ticking along nicely.

With all of the action and drama going down, what makes The End Of The F***ing World so special is the surprisingly endearing relationship that grows between James and Alyssa.
