At the beginning of The Flash, a particle accelerator built by Harrison Wells at Star Labs exploded, killing dozens and giving rise to the metahumans, super-powerful humans with abilities that could border on being God-like at times. Harrison Wells' name was tarnished, his lab and everyone who worked for him became outcasts that everyone avoided and they were limping by into bankruptcy until the Flash came along and made their lives worthwhile again. That was until it turned out Harrison Wells was a time traveling mass-murderer who used the accelerator once again and nearly destroyed the entire solar system with his actions. You could argue that nobody is aware that the singularity was caused by Wells, but it emerged from Star Labs, a place that everyone knew was the cause of the last city wide disaster. Just because the Flash saved everyone (except for the hundreds that died because of the singularity) doesn't mean that nobody would be eyeballing Star Labs and the people running it. How did Caitlin get a job at another lab after that? Did nobody have any questions for her about why a black hole exploded out of the defunct lab she worked at?
Any time I'm not writing, I'm likely arguing about children's cartoons with strangers on the internet or staring at my ceiling and wondering where it all went wrong.
