1. NCIS/CSI And All Their Spin-Offs
Also a part of the police procedural genre, television shows like NCIS, CSI, and their many, many spin-offs have been presenting us with the same stories again and again. Even when they do break the barriers and give us something seemingly original it just so happens that it is portrayed within the same, old, boring format that most television viewers have become too comfortable with, thereby dulling any sense of shock from twists. It's no secret that these are among the most watched of all television series, primarily in the United States. The problem with that and with most of the shows on our list is that viewers fall in love with something and desperately hold onto it forever, afraid to let it go even as it begins to decay around them. By the time we come to realize that it's just not as good as it used to be it's far too late. So please hear us out. The next time you turn on your TV to watch CSI or Hawaii Five-0, really think about it and you'll come to realize that even when you change the channel to NCIS you're essentially watching the same thing in a different setting with different people. It's been fun, but the time has come to finally let them go. Are there any shows you disagree with? Any you would have added? Discuss it in the comment section, and don't be afraid to dish out your true feelings. We can take it.
