2. Criminal Minds
One of the many police procedural thrillers existing on the network Criminal Minds is a perfect example of a good idea turned into a tired format. When it premiered in 2005 there was something noticeably different about Criminal Minds that set the show apart from others in its genre. The characters seemed to have more characterization, they worked better together as an ensemble cast, and the stories were original, a remarkable feat for a genre which usually deals with the same tales told over and over again. Like every other television show within its genre, however, Criminal Minds eventually became a victim of its own format. The same stories did indeed begin to be told over and over again while those with original plots lacked the creativity they had once defined. While the characters have remained true to themselves they haven't had much room for growth since the mid-seasons. Watching Criminal Minds used to be fun it was the kind of series that had you on the edge of your seat. Now it has become a chore to watch as we're forced to relive the same episode week after week. Criminal Minds isn't the only show within it's genre in need of rest. It's simply the one that is so unique so as to land it's own spot within our list.
