3. Family Guy
This show was a lot of fun when it first started and the earlier episodes are excellent. They are funny, well-written, and had some great nods to a lot of the pop culture elements of the 1980s that I grew up with. It was pretty popular and had a decent following, but Fox cancelled it anyway. Fortunately it eventually returned to television (thanks to Adult Swim who started airing the reruns and made it popular again) and I was stoked for new episodes. Ill admit, the episodes from the first couple of seasons after it returned were good, but eventually things started to get sour. It soon turned into an unfunny mess of a show that just wanted to be offensive as possible and piss off as many people as it could. The writers got incredibly lazy and every episode featured characters performing lengthy musical numbers that went on way too long and were basically pointless. The jokes started to fall flat and before I knew it every episode was pretty much the same (every single one had someone singing followed by numerous Star Wars or Indiana Jones references while there was an overabundance of lame dick and fart jokes that seemed to have been written by a middle school student). I dont know what happened to this show but the last couple of times I attempted to watch it things were so bad that I ended up changing the channel after just a few minutes which is sad because I really did love it at one time.
