10 Once Great TV Shows That Descended Into Madness

4. Angel

I didn€™t really care for Angel when he was on Buffy€™s show, but he was much more likable and had a bit more depth once he got his own show. I thought that most of the story arcs were entertaining and it wasn€™t long before I found myself enjoying Angel more than I did Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Things were running smoothly and I was really into the show until toward the end of the fourth season when Cordelia (who turned out to be possessed or something) gave birth to a full-grown woman-whose father was Angel€™s annoying teenage son (are you still with me?)-who attempted to take over the world. From there things just went from bad to worse. During the fifth season Angel and his gang had taken over the offices of the evil law firm Wolfram & Hart (the main antagonist for the first four seasons) and the writers weren€™t sure what to do with it. Beloved characters soon started dying off and new ones were brought in, but by the time it was all over and done with I don€™t think anyone (including the cast and crew) really cared anymore (and don€™t get me started on how terrible the final episode was).
