10 Parks & Recreation Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off

As in the US version of The Office, Rashida Jones ended up getting a little side-lined in Parks and Recreation. More often than not, she had to play it a little straighter while Amy Poehler stole the show and the gags.

In fact, much of Ann Perkins’ time on the series is taken up by her love life or, more specifically, her relationships with Andy Dwyer, Chris Traeger and Tom Haverford. By the time the show ends Ann is happily married with two kids, but there’s a sense that the writers could have done a little more with her character and, more specifically, Jones herself.

A talented writer, comedian and all-round performer who showed herself more than capable of anchoring her own comedy show after fronting the underrated police procedural spoof Angie Tribeca, a spin-off would give Ann – and Rashida- a chance to spread her wings a little more.
