10 Parks & Recreation Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off

1. Ron Swanson

Parks and Rec
NBC

The clear and obvious pick for his own Parks and Recreation spin-off, let’s be honest: Ron Swanson was everyone’s favourite character on the show.

Leslie Knope’s deadpan superior, known for his enjoyment of woodworking, breakfast meats, and moustaches, Ron is a steely, no-nonsense presence in the office.

Away from it, however, he leads a double life of sorts as saxophonist Duke Silver. All that and he’s got two crazy ex-wives who regularly pop up to cause him havoc.

A man who hates lying, hugs and skimmed milk, there’s rarely a dull moment when Ron is around, with actor Nick Offerman’s straight-faced delivery making him a constant watchable presence.

The series ended with Ron installed as the new superintendent of Pawnee National Park. Now who wouldn’t love to see a show all about the famously anti-government, infamously work-shy Ron running things again?
