8. The Dog Days Are Over... Apparently

Remember Chester? You know, the Byers' family dog that barked endlessly at the shed in the garden and essentially sent Joyce and Hopper in the right direction at the beginning of their search for Will in the first ever episode of Stranger Things? Yeah, well, neither do the writers apparently.

The beloved family pet vanished from existence without a trace, as he was nowhere to be seen throughout the second and third seasons and there has yet to be a single reference to him. Not to ask the obvious question but, what actually happened to him?

Noah Schnapp suggested last summer that the dog had died off-screen and that we might see a grave for him during Season 3 but, as far as the most devoted fans are aware, there was no grave in sight.

Thus, the mysterious case of 'The Vanishing of Chester Byers' continues...
