5. No Explanation For Will's Fake Body

The disappearance of Will Byers rocked Hawkins to its very core and resulted in the community coming together in order to find him and, when it was revealed to the public that he was dead, they came together again to mourn him - so it's probably safe to assume that his miraculous return from the dead would have caused a lot of buzz in town.

While the writers utilised multiple time jumps in order to skip all the logical explanations, the second season did feature a newspaper clipping about 'The Boy Who Came Back To Life'. So, yes, obviously Hawkins knows that Will Byers is back, but why was this used to paint him like some kind of outcast and weirdo? He didn't die... he was lost. It was the town that assumed he was dead, simply because the fake body washed up in the quarry.

Just how did Hopper, Joyce and everyone involved explain away the fake body? And why was nobody asking questions about it? It's not like this sort of thing happens regularly in Hawkins... right?
