10 Plots From Stargate That Were Just Dropped

8. The Brotherhood

Season 1 of Stargate Atlantis featured a great episode called 'The Brotherhood', where the team are searching for an elusive Zero-Point Module amidst the ruins of the monastery of The Brotherhood. They were entrusted with the care of the Module by the Lantean Ancients ten thousand years ago, holding onto it until the Lanteans return.

The team meet some charming locals and Allina, the archaeologist who has been helping them takes a shine to Rodney. Together, they must outwit and take down the Genii operatives of Commander Kolya and perform a treasure hunt for the location of the Module, eventually finding it hidden in what amounts to Sudoku death-trap.

But when they are about to head home, Allina reveals that she is the head of the reformed Brotherhood and takes the ZPM from them at gun-point. Her mission is to find a new hiding place for it, until the Lanteans return.

Well... in season 3 they did return, however briefly. Did they reach out to the Brotherhood? Did the Brotherhood ever decide that they could trust the Expedition forces? Could there have been a great deal more to this story? Of course.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
