Has there ever been another kid's show that got the greenlight on the sheer power of nostalgia? Now that 90s kids are in the all-important 20s-30s demographic, we finally get the opportunity to see what happens to Cory and Topanga. And if Eric ever actually changed his name to Plays With Squirrels. Officially. Girl Meets World is the long awaited follow up to the tremendous popular TGIF show Boy Meets World, where Cory Matthews navigated his way through life from 6th grade to college. We all loved it, and Disney is clearly banking on older viewers introducing a new generation to the show. Girl Meets World will revolve around Cory and Topanga's daughter, Riley Matthews, and the trials and tribulations of being a 12-year-old girl. Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will be back, and while there isn't any official news either way, we might see glimpses of Shawn and Mr Feeney, depending on how well the show is received. While Girl Meets World is somewhat limited by the simple fact that it's being made for the Disney Channel, and all the cheesiness that implies, hopefully it will be an endearing show that both kids and adults will love.
