10 Questions About The X-Men TV Show

8. When Is It Set?

...Because whilst Peters was definitely a scene-stealer in Days Of Future Past (which is probably why they limited him to just that one scene, although he's apparently back in X-Men: Apocalypse as well), that film was a period piece. It was set in the seventies, with Quicksilver as a rebellious teenager. Peters is a fair bit older than the character he was playing but not by, like, forty years. So if Quicksilver does appear in this X-Men TV series, is that too going to be set in the seventies? That would give it a cool Rockford Files vibe, and Days Of Future Past did pretty well at the box office. Might turn off some viewers, however, having an X-Men show that isn't set in modern times. It'd be kind of confusing. And the timeline's screwed up anyway thanks to that last movie, so where exactly will the series wind up? That dystopian future? The nice one? The seventies? What?
